North Korea ( listen), officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK; Chosŏn'gŭl: 조선민주주의인민공화국; hancha: 朝鮮民主主義人民共和國; MR: Chosŏn Minjujuŭi Inmin Konghwaguk), is a country in East Asia, in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. The name Korea is derived from the Kingdom of Goguryeo, also spelled as Koryŏ. The capital and largest city is Pyongyang. North Korea shares a land border with China to the north and northwest, along the Amnok (Yalu) and Tumen rivers, and a small section of the Tumen River also forms a border with Russia to the northeast. The Korean Demilitarized Zone marks the boundary between North Korea and South Korea.
Korea was annexed by the Empire of Japan in 1910. After the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II in 1945, Korea was divided into two zones by the United States and the Soviet Union, with the north occupied by the Soviets and the south by the Americans. Negotiations on reunification failed, and in 1948 two separate governments were formed: the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the north, and the Republic of Korea in the south. An invasion initiated by North Korea led to the Korean War (1950–53). Although the Korean Armistice Agreement brought about a ceasefire, no official peace treaty was ever signed. Both states were accepted into the United Nations in 1991.
"What They Want" is a song by American hip hop recording artist Schoolboy Q, taken from his third studio album Oxymoron (2014). The song, produced by Mike Will Made It, features a guest appearance by rapper 2 Chainz. "What They Want" was met with generally positive reviews from music critics. The song has since peaked on the US Billboard Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles at number four.
"What They Want" production features "plodding rhythm section and eerie, reverb-drenched string/bell loops" created by Mike Will Made It and Marz. Schoolboy Q raps about his prospective purchases and recent sexual conquests in his verses. Additionally the song features a guest appearance by 2 Chainz. Overall the song has an icy melody projecting a feeling of paranoia with Q rapping about his proficiency in drug dealing.
Illadelph Halflife is the third studio album by American hip hop band The Roots, released September 24, 1996 on Geffen Records. It features a tougher and broader sound than their previous album, Do You Want More?!!!??! (1994). The album also contains integration of programmed drums and guest contributions by R&B musicians such as Amel Larrieux and D'Angelo, as well as jazz musicians such as David Murray, Steve Coleman, Cassandra Wilson, Graham Haynes. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. In 2006, the album was selected as one of Hip-Hop Connection's 100 Best Rap Albums from 1995 to 2005.
The New York Times writer Neil Strauss called the album "one of the year's best rap offerings" and wrote that "The Roots move indiscriminately from politically conscious lyrics (not just about black America but also about Bosnia, the Olympics and terrorism) to silly rhymes ('roam like a cellular phone/far from home')".The Philadelphia Inquirer gave it 3½ out of 4 stars and wrote that "while it doesn't sacrifice a smidgen of street-level intensity, it reaffirms just how far-reaching (and how far removed from the gangsta stereotype) hip-hop can be". Giving it 4½ out of 5 mics, The Source magazine called it "a thoughtful musical endeavor... an emotional and spiritually fulfilling aural experience".Spin described it as "an artistic progression, and added confirmation of the Roots' place at hip-hop's vanguard", giving it a 9/10 rating. The San Diego Union-Tribune's Jeff Niesel gave it 3 out of 4 stars, stating "the Roots find the perfect mixture of jazz and hip-hop for their songs about the hardships of urban life".

Korea, called Chosŏn (Korean: 조선; Hanja: 朝鮮) in North Korea and Hanguk (Korean: 한국; Hanja: 韓國) or Daehanminkuk (Korean: 대한민국; Hanja: 大韓民國) in South Korea, is an East Asian territory that is divided into two distinct sovereign states: North Korea, formally the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), and South Korea, formally the Republic of Korea (ROK). Located on the Korean Peninsula, Korea is bordered by China to the northwest and Russia to the northeast. It is separated from Japan to the east by the Korea Strait and the Sea of Japan .
Korea emerged as a singular political entity after centuries of conflict among the Three Kingdoms of Korea, which were unified as Silla (57 BC – AD 935) and Balhae (AD 698 – 926). The united Silla was eventually succeeded by Goryeo in 935 at the end of the Later Three Kingdoms period. Goryeo, which gave name to the modern exonym "Korea", was a highly cultured state and created the Jikji in the 14th century. The invasions by the Mongol Empire in the 13th century, however, greatly weakened the nation, which forced it into vassalage. After the Yuan dynasty's collapse, severe political strife followed. Goryeo eventually fell to an uprising led by General Yi Seong-gye, who established Joseon in 1388.

No More North Korea! Trump Takes Action After Satellites Find What They Hid In Boats Overnight The cat and mouse game that North Korea has been playing with America for too long is coming to an abrupt end after President Donald Trump just dropped the hammer on Kim Jong-un. The country’s rogue dictator has been warned and didn’t think he had to listen. Now, Trump is making him and is serious about the consequences. The regimes’ recent testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles is in clear violation of the United Nations as well as international laws. That hasn’t stopped Kim from launching one into the waters of Japan but his reign of terror and defiance didn’t stop there. U.S. spy satellites are constantly monitoring the situation in North Korea and just caught America’s worst nightm...
WATCH: Tourists Shocked As Migrants Storm Beach, Horrified By What They Do Moments Later Although a few vacationing tourists thought it would be a nice day to relax on the beach, their fun in the sun and sand would prove to be anything but as a boatload of migrants rapidly approached. Unfortunately, that’s about the time things took a horrifying turn after what the invaders did just a few moments later – and it was all caught on video. According to Infowars, the incident reportedly took place on a Playa de los Alemanes beach in Cadiz, Spain. As seen in two separate videos later posted to Twitter, a group of migrants shocked tourists relaxing by the ocean when they came a little too close to shore. However, things would only go from bad to worse as the boat clearly had no intentions of s...

I've always been very interested in North Korea because it seemed to be one of the most unique and mysterious countries in the whole world. This is my day to day life throughout the 7 days that I spent in North Korea. You can never be sure whether things were staged or not in North Korea because you are only shown what they want you to see. You can't choose where or when you will be going to specific places, they simply tell you to hop on a bus and ask you to get off at one point or another. That is why I didn't want to offer my opinion about whether things were staged or not, whether they were good or not, or honest or not. My goal was to show you what my day to day life looked like when I was there and let you make up your own mind and judge for yourself. Do not judge North Korea only ...

Though there is little evidence of safety issues concerning tourists on organized expeditions, those planning to engage in activities that the North Korean government forbids must be prepared to face severe consequences. Under no circumstances are you to say anything that could be perceived as an insult to or critical of Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-Il, Kim Jong-Un, the Juche ideology, the Songun policy, the ruling Worker's Party of Korea, the North Korean government in general, or the citizens of North Korea. The Parade The ground started to shake and ripple under your feet as the tanks started to roll by,the street filled with thick clouds of diesel fumes.Alongside the thunderous noise you could still here the cheering. large groups of school children were trying to out sing or out screen each other, parents, grandparents waving plastic flowers some resembling mechanical toys, they lined the streets for as far as you could see.The tanks were followed by missile launchers, rockets, artillary canons and finally a never ending convoy of open top trucks filled with cheering soldiers.the whole parade had been delayed for hours due to a few clouds in the sky so by the time it had passed by it was completly dark. Finally as the convoy started to thin out the heavens opened up.the wind picked up and i...

This video is made up from almost 3000 photos taken over four weeks of travelling around China and Hong Kong. We spent five days in Beijing, prior to our trip in North Korea, seeing celebrations for Golden Week - China National Day in Tiananmen Square and the Summer Palace. We joined the Dragon Trip, after returning from North Korea, for an 18 day tour around China beginning in Yangshuo. Here we saw a rural side of China; seeing the scenic view from 20 Yuan note, visiting a Dragon Trip's tour guide's family farm, have a cooking class, cycle through the mountains and farmland, float down the Yulong River on a bamboo raft and see the traditional Cormorant bird Fishing. This clip documents a day trip to the Joint Security Area at the border that divides the Korean Peninsula. A tourist bus starts from Seoul and stops at an observatory near the Freedom Bridge where tourists can peer into the North. A tour guide provides the South Korean perspective on North Korea explaining i.e. the lack of trees in the North and the small size of North Korean Soldiers. The travel terminates in Panmunjeom within the JSA where guards and tourists stare at each other from both sides. The regulations allow tourists to carry nothing else than their cameras, the suitable equipment to be utilized in this "War Of Eyes" where filming and photographing is explicitely allowed. White teeth, white teeth
Talent is rugged determination
Skill is a little more dull
Genius buggers straight conversation
Makes sure that it's ass is full
So good looking people don't write no poetry
They're too busy holding their hands
You don't go to beach for depth of thought
If your brain's leaking grains of sand
'Cos white teeth are uglier than yellow teeth
False gums never make plans
Little stones hold big stories underneath
But the big stones go to the dance
The big stones go to the dance
When model puts pen to paper
Paper tends to turn to stone
'Cause original thoughts so hard to squeeze
From a face so easy to clone
So good looking people don't write no poetry
They're too busy holding their hands
You don't go to beach for depth of thought
If your brain's leaking grains of sand
'Cos white teeth are uglier than yellow teeth
False gums never make plans
Little stones hold big stories underneath
But the big stones go to the dance
The big stones go to the dance
Whilst the dedicated cancelled the dates on their latest tour
'Cause genius had played that route ten times before
Hardwork made the excuse of being too hardcore
Yes don't fire shots from double barrel if you know you're single bore
'Cos white teeth are uglier than yellow teeth
False gums never make plans
Little stones hold big stories underneath
But the big stones go to the dance
The big stones go to the dance
The big stones go to the dance
